he Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Program prepares students for entry-level employment in medical offices, clinics, and other outpatient healthcare settings. Clinical medical assistants are versatile members of the healthcare team who work directly with patients while also supporting the day-to-day clinical and administrative functions of a medical practice.
Throughout the program, students develop practical skills used in today’s healthcare environment, including patient intake and vital signs, medical terminology, infection control, assisting with clinical procedures, phlebotomy and specimen collection, EKGs, medication and laboratory fundamentals, patient communication, documentation, and professional practices.
This program may be a good fit for individuals who:

The program uses a hybrid learning format, combining scheduled instruction and hands-on skills development with online learning. Students should be prepared to participate consistently throughout the program and dedicate additional time outside of scheduled class hours to completing coursework and preparing for assessments.
Upon successful completion of the program, students are prepared to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification examination.
