Glowforge Laser Cutter – Intro

This is a flex class, with ongoing enrollment.

Time:  Two evenings from 4:30-7:00PM

By attending the in-person workshop, you will learn
all about how laser cutters and engravers work, basic
laser cutter anatomy, how to operate the Glowforge
laser cutter hardware and software, and best practices
for using laser cutters safely and responsibly.
By the end of the course, you will be able to use
the Glowforge laser cutter independently during our
Thursday night Makery. Equipment: Glowforge Pro
can accommodate a work area up to 18” x 20” and 2”
deep and can cut wood, fabric, leather, paper, Plexiglas
(acrylic), Delrin (acetal), mylar, rubber, Corian,
food, and more. Glowforge can also engrave all of
the above plus glass, coated metal, marble, anodized
aluminum, titanium, some phones, tablets, laptops,
and more.

Each student receives 2 free passes to our Thursday
night Makery space for additional use of the laser
cutter. Based on demand, register to be placed on a
waiting list.
