Introduction to Blacksmithing for Women
Date: Saturday, May 6th and May 13th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Beginner Blacksmithing 101-Learn the basics of blacksmithing and create a small project to bring home with you!
Topics covered:
Shop Safety and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Basic hammer skills
Measuring, marking and cutting rough stock
Coal and Propane Forge use
Turning round stock into square stock
Tapering, twisting and scrolling
Punching and upsetting
Applying boiled linseed oil finish
