The Professional CNC Mill Operator Certification prepares adults for entry-level employment in CNC machining through the nationally recognized Haas Basic Mill Operator Certification. Participants complete the Haas online curriculum while developing practical machining skills through instructor-guided laboratory experiences designed to build knowledge, competence, and confidence.
Rather than following a traditional lecture format, participants progress through the online curriculum at their own pace while receiving individualized coaching, practical demonstrations, hands-on experience, and competency assessments from experienced manufacturing professionals.
The program emphasizes understanding—not simply completing online modules—and provides opportunities for participants to build confidence operating CNC equipment in a supportive learning environment.

Optional Weekly Virtual Office Hours
Participants are invited to attend a one-hour virtual office hour each week to ask questions, review concepts from the Haas online curriculum, discuss challenges, and prepare for the upcoming skills lab.
The office hour is designed to provide additional support for participants who would benefit from individualized coaching between weekly laboratory sessions.
Meet Your Instructor
Benjamin Davidson is a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer with extensive experience in precision manufacturing. He currently works in the aerospace manufacturing industry, programming and supporting CNC machining operations used in the production of high-precision components.
Ben is passionate about developing the next generation of manufacturing professionals and believes that high-quality workforce training should combine industry-recognized curriculum with extensive hands-on experience. Through the Professional CNC Mill Operator Certification program, he brings current manufacturing practices, practical shop knowledge, and real-world experience directly to the classroom.
Participants will benefit from learning alongside an industry professional who understands both the technical skills and workplace expectations required for success in today’s manufacturing environment.

Each participant will complete hands-on machining projects and leave the program with a part they have personally manufactured using a Haas CNC mill.
