Licensed Nurse Assistant-LNA Free*!!
*Tuition is paid for by a grant. There is a $255.00 fee for the LNA exam and textbook that is to be prepaid by the student. Additional fees to be paid independently are: $33.25 paid to the State of VT for a provisional license and background check (debit/credit card only) and $35.00 for fingerprints (cash/check only). (Total course is valued at $1,200.)
Class begins Monday, September 11 and ends Wednesday, November 8, 2023 (9 weeks). Takes place on Mondays & Wednesdays, 4:00 – 8:00 pm, plus clinicals (dates to be determined based on availability of facilities). Total of 72 classroom hours + 32 clinical hours.
Keep in mind that COVID-19 will always be a factor as clinicals are scheduled.
The course focuses on safe and effective practices for care in a health care setting. Students learn the basics of assisting patients, body mechanics, ethics, communication, and preparing for the licensing exam. The written and skills LNA licensing testing can be done in Franklin County or at another location in the state.
Applicants must be able to pass a thorough background check.
