Licensed Nurse Assistant – LNA (February-April 2024)
LNAs are in high demand. The 8-week program is targeted to individuals who are interested in beginning level, skilled positions in healthcare. This state-approved course will prepare the student with the knowledge and skills that will be assessed during the Licensed Nurse Assistant (LNA) licensure exam with the State Board of Nursing. Course fee covers the required textbook and workbook, classroom instruction, skills lab practice, clinical practice at a local healthcare facility, CPR and First Aid certification, and the state LNA licensing exam (testing date will take place approximately two weeks after the course ends).
Course includes certification CPR and First Aid at Rescue, Inc.
Applicants must be able to pass a background check, provide proof of various vaccinations, be fingerprinted, and commit to attending each session on time.
Limited to 10 students
Tuition assistance is available to most Vermonter’s through VSAC’s Advancement Grant program. If you are currently employed in a health care facility, you can check with your employer for course funding. If you are working with another agency, you can talk about funding with your case worker. Do not let the cost of the program be a barrier to starting your career in nursing.
