Licensed Nurse Assistant LNA
Licensed Nurse Assistants are in high demand! Nurse assisting is a “Bright Outlook” career headed for faster than average wage growth and opportunity. This program targets individuals who are interested in beginning level, skilled positions in healthcare. The state-approved course prepares the student with the knowledge and skills to pass the licensure exam with the State Board of Nursing. Course fee covers the required textbook, classroom instruction, skills lab practice, clinical practice at a local healthcare facility, and CPR certification. LNA licensing exam fee additional.
Course includes certification in CPR.
Applicants must be fingerprinted, pass a background check, and provide proof of various vaccinations required for healthcare employment.
Limited to 8 students
Tuition assistance is available to most Vermonter’s through VSAC’s Advancement Grant program. If you are currently employed in a health care facility, check with your employer for course funding. Do not let the cost of the program be a barrier to starting your career in nursing as a licensed nurse assistant.
Includes classroom instruction, skills practice, and clinical practice at Helen Porter Health and Rehabilitation in Middlebury. You must submit official signed verification of immunizations/titers.
