LNAs are in high demand.  The 12-week program is targeted to individuals who are interested in beginning level, skilled positions in healthcare.  This state-approved course will prepare the student with the knowledge and skills that will be assessed during the Licensed Nurse Assistant (LNA) licensure exam with the State Board of Nursing.  Course cost includes the required textbook and workbook, classroom instruction, skills lab practice, clinical practice at a local healthcare facility, Basic Life Support and HeartSaver certifications, and the LNA state licensing exam (testing date will take place approximately two weeks after the course ends).

Applicants must be fingerprinted, be able to pass a background check, and provide proof of various vaccinations.

Tuition assistance is available to most Vermonter’s through VSAC’s Advancement Grant program.  If you are currently employed in a health care facility, you can check with your employer for course funding.  If you are working with another agency, you can talk about funding with your case worker.  Do not let the cost of the program be a barrier to starting your career in nursing.
