Prepare to be a Paraeducator – via Google Meet
Jennifer Theroux has moved her class online to help prepare future paraeducators for the many job opportunities in our region. Class will include an introduction to the diverse role of paraeducators in the classroom: how services are provided, inclusion, collaborative teaming, instructional strategies, and supporting students with challenging behaviors. This class will meet using Google Meet. Smartphone, tablet, or laptop with video and sound is required. Students are expected to prepare for class by reading assignments before each meeting to be ready for discussion.
***For students who want to be employed as paraeducators and need to take the ParaPro exam (those who have not completed 48 college credits) – a study guide will be provided, academic support available at NEKLS, exam fee coverage may be available.
